Play: Freaky

SYNOPSIS

It’s time for holiday camp and all the kids are excited about the possibilities of camping and adventure.

However, one child, Fred, seems a little different from the rest, he always wears black, he has a pet spider and he looks ....different. Everyone thinks he’s a bit weird and freaky.

 At the holiday camp Fred meets Spud and Eevie. Spud loves camping and is very excited about the camp.

 Eevie hates camping and doesn’t want to be there. She doesn’t like Fred and starts to bully him the moment they meet.

 At the end of the camp there is a dance competition, Eevie is

desperate to win but it turns out that although Fred is different and weird he is a very good dancer.

 Students have prepared the vocabulary, activities and songs before watching the play.

Weird animals

After presenting their projects about animals, students have made their own weird animal.
First they have played cards and described their animals. Second they have chosen their weird animal and glued on a paper. Finally, they have described them and coloured.

Project: An animal

The 1st project to do is about animals.
Students have to choose an animal and do the project individually.
They can see an example in the Activity book, page 18.
They have to present on the11th of January.
The project has to include name, photo and information.
Information:

•  Name
• Type of animal (mammal, reptile....)
• Description (body, size...)
• Habitat (where they live)
• Food (what they eat)
• Special features (colour, abilities, curiosities,...)

 Enjoy your work and learn about the animal.

T-shirt Designs

A t-shirt activity:
 They have started searching English t-shirts and clothes at home. They have written the sentences, words or slogans they found it in the notebook.
One day, all the students brought one to the classroom. After reading, showing and understanding the meaning of their written text, they had designed a t-shirt.
They add or change words and drawings. At the end this is the result:
